Looking for Landlords
Luton Foyer operates the Independent Housing Advice (IHA) service and helps people to find accommodation in the private rented sector. They are always looking for new landlords with properties to rent to work in partnership with them to meet this need. The service publishes a list of local properties each week and new landlords can be added to this at anytime. Landlords benefit from the free and prompt referrals made by the IHA service and the ongoing support offered to both landlords and tenants to maintain the tenancy and jointly resolve any issues. Landlords should contact Vanessa, the Landlord Liaison Officer on 01582 704477 or vanessa@lutonfoyer.org.uk to understand more about this quick, free and easy way of finding new tenants.
Community Awards 2011
The work of Luton Foyer was recognised for the 2nd year running at the prestigious Community Awards for Luton ceremony in November 2011. The centre was awarded "Highly Commended" in the "Service with a Smile"" category. The previous year, the centre came runners up in the "Concern" and "Working in Partnership" categories. Most of the team attended the 2011 presentation evening to receive this honour. The judging panel included Luton MPs Kelvin Hopkins and Gavin Shuker, Leader of the Council, Hazel Simmonds and representatives from a range of businesses, community groups and the Bedfordshire Police and Fire & Rescue Service so the team were very proud that their achievements in supporting Luton residents had been recognised so publicly.
